St. Trudpert's Abbey, founded by Saint Trudpert in the 7th century and supported by the Liutfride family, stands as a beacon of spiritual enlightenment in Münstertal, Germany. Despite enduring the German Peasants' War of 1525 and the Thirty Years' War in 1632, the abbey has remained a steadfast bastion of faith. The sacred translation of Saint Trudpert's relics in 901 further enhanced its sanctity, attracting numerous pilgrims. Over the centuries, the abbey has navigated various changes in stewardship, maintaining its commitment to spiritual devotion and community welfare. Following secularization in 1806, it became part of the Grand Duchy of Baden. Today, St. Trudpert's Abbey's medieval architecture offers visitors a poignant glimpse into its rich religious heritage. In 1920, during the First World War, the St. Trudpert Province was established to provide safety for the sisters of the Congregation SJSM. This new province in the Black Forest region became a haven for those seeking spiritual refuge amidst turbulent times, ensuring the abbey's legacy of faith and resilience continued unbroken. .
SJSM expanded its mission in Ukraine in 1998. The first community was erected in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Later as the new candidates from Ukraine joined and became the members of our Congregation, there was a need of having more convents and therefore, we started a community at Lviv for Formation and at Pausching for living and spreading our Charism of Adoration & Service. In 2023, Ukraine obtained the status of Region. The first Regional Chapter was held from 14th August, 2023: Sr. Christina was elected as the First Regional Superior, Sr. Laura as her Assistant and Sr. Erika as the Regional Councilor. The past two years of war with Russia has not hindered their service to the needy and the Evangelization. Instead, they are more vibrant and spread the good news across many countries of Europe like Germany, France, Spain etc.

In 1965, a group of Indian sisters joined the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Saint-Marc (SJSM) in Saint-Marc, France. Inspired by the charism and spirituality of SJSM, they felt a strong desire to bring these values to their homeland. In 1977, they left France and established the first SJSM community in Puthussery, Kerala. This marked the beginning of their mission to integrate SJSM's spiritual ethos within the Indian context, serving local communities through education, healthcare, and social work. Over the years, their efforts have led to the establishment of several institutions, including schools, clinics, and social service centers, significantly impacting the lives of the people they serve. The sisters have worked tirelessly to uplift the marginalized and provide opportunities for the underprivileged, staying true to the mission and vision of the Congregation.
