We hail from 9 different nationalities: French, German, Indian, Philippine, Ukrainian, Congolese, Madagascan, Slovakian, and American. Yes, we live in unity in diversity.
Our community thrives on shared values and mutual respect, fostering a deep sense of global sisterhood. Each sister brings her cultural richness, enhancing our collective mission to serve with love and compassion. Together, we embody a harmonious blend of traditions and modernity, dedicated to making a positive impact worldwide.
The Charism of our Congregation is Perpetual Adoration of the Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament and education of the children and taking care of poor and sick..
The motto of our Congregation is “Worship to service and service to worship”. The Eucharistic Worship leads the members to fraternal service..
The formation of the sisters does not end with the final commitment. They are to continue their spiritual, theoretical and practical education and renew their professional knowledge..
The Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Saint-Marc was founded by the dream and desire of Fr. Pierre Paul Blanck from Turckheim, Alsace in France. He was deeply influenced by the exceptional personality of his father, Francis Joseph, who was a physician and an exemplary Christian. He participated in the Holy Mass every day and always carried with him St. Alphonsus Liguori’s booklet entitled, „Visits to the Most Blessed Sacrament“
From the very beginning, Abbé Blanck wanted to place the Congregation in the
radiance of the Eucharistic Jesus. In this perspective, he suggested to „persons having more taste for prayer and solitude“ to form a community dedicated to the perpetual adoration of the Lord present in the Most Blessed Sacrament..
The Founder placed the community under the patronage of St. Joseph. Is not Joseph the greatest contemplative of all, the silent one who is attentive to God’s Word and engages his whole conscience as a responsible man to obey it? God himself invests him with his own authority and entrusts to him the role of Father for his begotten Son. Along with Mary, Joseph is associated with the great work of salvation.
According to Fr. Paul Blanck, the aim of the Congregation should be:
